25 Nov Development Diary 24: Hearing Voices

Our latest development diary explores how we’ve created the voices that haunt Senua throughout her journey in Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. Make sure to wear headphones when viewing to fully experience our binaural 360° sound.

When will the game be launched? You said some time ago, that it’ll be launched this year. Is it true?

Incredible! It’s so amazing and gratifying to see video games being made in the way I’ve always dreamed they can be. Good luck with the rest of the project! I can’t wait to play the end result, I know the wait will be well worth it!

Finally! Another update! That was a long time to wait. The content of this update is really cool and interesting. Seems like you are doing very elaborate and creative work there ( as always 🙂 ). I just hope you wont’t be hearing voices most of the time. As fascinating as the topic seems, as unnervinig and disturbing the actual game experience might become if this aspect of the game becomes too prominent.
I am really eager to see the final results. Hellblade is definitely on my wishlist. Great job people!

Finally another dev. diary! I don’t mind waiting for this game as long as it delievers.
Please let this game be masterful. I hope the fighting mechanics are improved, i was expecting the directional attacks and defenses but you changed it to a much more generic one so i was disapointed with that..Still i wish all the best for HELLBLADE, maybe you will surprise me with the mechanics. Make it deep, skill based like a fighting game, gory and very realistic.
Thanks and keep up the great work!

Thank you for working on such a unique game, awe-inspiring really. Looking forward to go on this journey with Senua, from what I grasp it will feel more like a journey and discovery than just a game. Also: I want to note that I find that this implementation of neurodiversity and trauma is done in a very respectable way. It invited others to learn, it doesn’t seem to sell or hype a rather stigmatised subject, Wonderful work. Pre-ordering asap.
